First wave
infrastructure nears completion

The newest residential resort and marina community in Turks and Caicos, South Bank in Long Bay, is nearing completion on its first wave of infrastructure works. Phase One creates the canvas for the landmark project offering distinct South Bank neighborhoods each featuring diverse contemporary home types.

Each neighborhood features a unique relationship with the beautiful waters of the Caicos Bank garnering a vibrant community for lovers of the ocean, contemporary architecture and outstanding service. The first three neighborhoods were released for sale in 2019 and offer a variety of home options:

The Boathouses: a community of 1 – 3 bedroom townhouses each with a dedicated boat dock on the rear terrace, seemingly floating above the water. The Boathouses are arranged around a central entertainment area, featuring a lap and relaxation pool, sun loungers, hammocks and BBQ areas. Boathouses range in size from 1,464 – 2,336 sq. ft. of covered living space.

The Lagoon: a collection of 3 – 5 bedroom villas, inspired by a Malibu beach house style, are located on a generous beachfront swimming lagoon. With lot sizes from 0.24 – 0.55 acres and about 3,000 sq. ft. of covered living space, the Lagoon Villas are a unique home for families and regular visitors to the islands.

The Ocean Estate: available in two locations, directly on Long Bay beach or positioned along the striking iron shore overlooking the Caicos Bank, the Ocean Estate Villas offer a contemporary setting that embraces the ocean access and views. The Villas come in three different ‘Ocean Estate’ layouts ranging from 4,500 to 7,700 sq. ft. of covered living space, with the option of four to seven bedrooms. Dedicated boat docks are available.

A number of Lagoon, Ocean Estate Villas and Boathouses are committed already.

Managed by acclaimed Grace Bay Resorts, South Bank will offer a full resort setting with world-class services to its owners and guests. Amenities will include a gym and spa, tennis court, Club House with restaurant and bar, concierge services, housekeeping, non-motorized and motorized watersports, coffee shop, multiple pools and a relaxation peninsula with cabanas in the lagoon at the heart of the community. Owners will have access to a rental program for their homes.

First home construction
at South Bank commenced

The infrastructure works for the project commenced in late August 2019, now the first wave is nearing completion. Undertaken by Windward’s construction partner, JW Construction, these works include the community roads, underground utilities, site boundaries, landscaping and South Bank’s entrance and utility improvements along Long Bay Highway. Wave two of the infrastructure works include the execution of the swimming lagoon, lounging islands and adjacent boat basin.

The construction of the first home at South Bank, a 5-bedroom Ocean Estate Shoal Villa with a signature Serenity Pool, has commenced.

“As the infrastructure works progress, we are extremely excited to see the vision of South Bank take shape step by step, especially now with the first home underway. We have carefully prepared all details of South Bank to develop a thoughtful community offering an enviable lifestyle to our owners. It is very gratifying to see the enthusiasm of our purchasers as they embrace the ocean living South Bank has been designed around.” says Ivor Stanbrook, Director of Windward Long Bay Ltd.

The Marina
at South Bank

With the new development comes a significant upgrade of the Caicos Marina and Shipyard as this south side yachting destination transitions to become The Marina at South Bank. The improved facility will increasingly focus on customer service for residents and transient boats that dock for short, medium or long-term. Boat fueling, a new sundry shop, renovated buildings and parking areas will soon be accompanied by a new main dock and floating docks.
