It seems just a moment ago that excavation began, but now we can look out over the swimming lagoon waters and get a real sense of the vistas from the homes that surround. The waterway has been connected from the ocean, and the turquoise waters of the lagoon never cease to amaze. The shaped lagoon beach now slopes gently, embracing the Malibu-styled raised decks and pools of each home. The two lounging islands are taking shape and are almost ready for their tropical landscapes peppered with relaxing cabanas.
The Lagoon Neighborhood
Lagoon Villas taking their place
Around the lagoon, the staged progression of the Lagoon Villas continues – a community taking shape. While Lagoon Villas 4, 7 and 12 continue towards their completion later this year, Villas 3 and 5 have been recently added to the active sites. Every month will see more changes as new villas emerge from the shoreline.
The Ocean Estate
Becoming a true Neighborhood
At Shoal Villa 8, the windows are now in place and the exterior tiling of the building appears like an elegant monolith emerging from the natural limestone. The stunning outdoor spaces, the courtyard in the center of the house, the multiple pools and terraces reveal the unique indoor/outdoor lifestyle this villa will provide. The hand-carved steps leading to the ocean deck provide a glimpse of the water-focused lifestyle that encapsulates living at South Bank.
Following the completion of the Serenity Pool structure, Banks Villa 16 is imminently awaiting its floor slab completion. The wide orientation of the villa impressively reveals itself step by step. Construction of Dune Villa 3 has also commenced.
Ten of the Ocean Estate villas are now committed, forming a mix of Reef, Shoal, Banks and Dune Villas.
February 2021 Updates
Lagoon excavation starts to reveal the Lounging Peninsula
Now the Shoal Villa roof has been installed and the pool area is taking shape, the next step will be to fit the unique exterior cladding material, a porcelain tile selected to blend with the tint of the natural limestone. The incredibly robust external facade material also provides a low-maintenance ownership experience. Banks Villa 16 pool and foundation works are progressing showing the outline of the home.
Beyond, the lagoon is being excavated to a depth of four and a half feet, perfect for families living in the surrounding Villas and owners of South Bank to enjoy from the Lounging Islands.
Three villas in the Lagoon are progressing at a great pace. At Lot 12, positioned at the entrance to the Lagoon, the windows have been installed. Lot 7 is reaching roof level, and Lot 4’s walls are underway. A number of additional Lagoon Villas will start works over the next months.
